An exclusive village in the mountains...
The Rendezvous in Telluride is located in the beautiful Telluride Mountain Village (TMV). The TMV is separate from the actual town of Telluride. The TMV has its own market, police force, fire department and transportation system. Telluride’s World Class ski area is just a few miles up the mountain from the home. The base area village has several restaurants as well as shopping. If parking is an issue or you simply do not wish to drive, it can be easily accessed by the TMV Dial A Ride transportation service. This is a free shuttle service to all guests staying in our home. Another option if you wish to avoid driving your own vehicle, is to use the gondolas that run up, over and down the mountain. The gondolas can be accessed from the TMV city hall. Once parked you can hop on the gondola which will take you up to the base area. You can get off here if you wish to shop, ski (in the winter) or eat in the mountain village plaza. Or hop on another gondola which will take you to the summit of 10,540 feet at San Sophia Station. Enjoy the view here as well as hiking and biking trails, or stay on the gondola and descend down the mountain into the charming village of Telluride. Telluride is like no other mountain town. There are not any fast food chains, no big shopping centers. It truly is at the end of the road. While it may not be for everyone, if you love to hike, fish, bike, ski, bird watch, golf, relax or spend quality time with family I can think of no better place.
